I just logged in to the Livestrong website and looked at my calorie consumption for the past week, which is about 15000 calories. I divided that by 7 and got about 2150. After a week I lost 1.6 lbs, in accordance with the Livestrong prediction. Their recommendation is to eat about 2190 calories per day to lose 1 lb per week. This is really a very close approximation of what actually happened, so I will keep this recommendation in higher regard from now on. I’ve used Livestrong for a few years to count calories; I even bought their mobile app. It never actually worked in the past when I counted calories. I wonder what’s changed :P
